First wind farm Array public consultation concludes

As part of our project development, we are committed to undertaking extensive and ongoing engagement with all stakeholders to ensure their input is considered, and to help inform our ongoing Environmental Impact Assessment work.

As part of this engagement, we launched our first wind farm Array virtual public consultation on Monday 22 January. The consultation ran for four weeks and concluded on Monday 19 February.

What is the consultation for?

The public consultation event was designed to keep the public, and other interested parties, up-to-date on the development of the wind farm Array, which focuses solely on the wind farm site, and to encourage feedback as Ossian progresses towards planning application submission.

Over the course of the month, we hosted four virtual live question and answer sessions that covered project introduction, environmental assessments, supply chain and human environment.

We want to hear your feedback

It’s important that we hear from as many people and groups as possible in this public consultation. Interested parties will be able to leave feedback until Friday 1 March via the online forms.

What’s next?

Submission of the wind farm Array environmental impact assessment is planned for Q2 2024, further engagement plans will be shared via the Ossian website. We anticipate further events for the export cable and onshore infrastructure in 2024. These elements are subject to separate planning application and are in the early stages of project development. We will keep the public, interested organisations and consultees updated as it progresses to the next phase.
